Portable staging for schools, colleges and universities

School halls are used for school assemblies, music and theatre productions, nativity plays, and year end or graduation awards presentations. 

A portable stage can be used when required and dismantled when out of use. This saves space which can then be used for other term time activities and sports.

Portable staging units for schools

Our standard portable staging units are suitable for schools, colleges & universities. Portable staging units are easy for the school staff or maintenance team to set up in advance of an event.

Modular stage systems can be built to fit small and large spaces. The modular stage units are 1m square or two metres long by one metre wide. They can be configured to make a square or rectangular stage that is wide or narrow.

The base units are fixed together and static or adjustable legs are added. Steps, handrails, safety barriers and chair rails can also be added to portable stages. Simple to use fixing tools and connectors are supplied with the staging.

Portable staging can be set up with tiered rows to allow for school children or university students to sit or stand while performing on stage. This means that parents and families can see their children on stage.

To ensure accessibility, we supply a series of accessibility ramps that connect with the portable staging units so that all your students can take part in school events.

Once the event is completed, portable staging can be packed and stored on a trolley and wheeled into storage easily and quickly.

Stage skirting for school stages

Stage skirting is custom made in the length, height and colour fabric required for your staging. Stage skirting is easily attached to the stage using hook & loop tape (Velcro).

School stage curtain systems

Backdrops and stage curtain systems are essential for school productions and theatrical events. The stage curtain system is designed to connect with the middle of the stage or at the front of the stage.

The system has gas struts to make it easy to set up curtains without having to use a ladder. It also makes it easier to break down the stage set and remove the curtains after the performance.

Semi-permanent or permanent school staging

School staging can be built permanently where space allows in a school hall. Custom wooden fascia, steps and handrails can be supplied and curtain rails can be fitted.

Tiered school staging for lecture halls and sports fields

Portable staging can be set up with tiered risers in a lecture theatre, gymnasium or around a sports field. Stacking chairs can be linked together in rows on the tiered risers.

Bracing is used to ensure that higher tiers of staging are secure and heavy-duty handrail barriers and stairs are recommended.

Permanent staging will need regular maintenance to ensure the continued safety of your students.
