Envirofab is hospitable to the environment

Forbes Group have always been at the forefront of reducing hospitality textile waste. Our machine washable conference cloths were designed to replace conference baize that had to be binned after use.

The Hospitality and Food Service sector in the UK produces over a million tonnes of non-food waste and 420,000 tonnes is packaging which is sent to landfill and includes plastic bottles (Wrap). The hospitality sector also uses petroleum-based fabrics like polyester. Recycling plastic bottles into polyester fabric reduces the need to manufacture new polyester fabrics.

The new range of eco-friendly fabric from Forbes Group called Envirofab is made from 45% recycled polyester, using waste plastic bottles. It is an extra wide fabric, so larger tablecloths can be made without the need for a seam.

Like all our other fabrics, it can be laundered in an industrial washing machine at 30°C and ironed with a cool iron.

Envirofab is available in colours that are favoured by the hospitality industry – white, black, a range of greys, neutrals (greige, beige, cream), trendy pale pink and some bright colours including yellow, green, red, purple and blue.

Envirofab is suitable for chair covers, tablecloths and napkins and table skirting.
