Luggage trolleys are one of the first experiences a guest has at a hotel and so it is important that they are clean, tidy and portray the right image. They come in many configurations, from self service luggage trolleys to bellman’s handtrucks. Here are some of different types of luggage trolley we supply.
Self-service luggage trolley
A self-service luggage trolley is similar to the ones seen in an airport or major transport hub. They have a base platform and optional rubber deck. The bases can be nested, very like a shopping trolley, saving space when they are stored. The swivel wheel at the front makes these luggage trolleys easy to manoeuvre even when they have suitcases on them. An optional hanger bar allows for dress suit bags to be hung without creasing them.
Bellman’s handtruck
The bellman’s handtruck has a folding nose which carries the weight of the luggage. The handtruck is tipped back towards the porter once loaded and the handtruck is moved on the two rear wheels. The sturdy platform is heavy duty steel so this luggage trolley is capable of handling a high volume of luggage. It is covered in carpeting to protect guest luggage and has a wrap around bumper to stop it from marking walls. The end rails keep the luggage safely in place and form a handrail for the hotel porter to push the cart along on the wheels.
Deluxe luggage trolley
Deluxe luggage trolleys have a distinctive style. They range from the art deco to the contemporary. The carts are made of stainless steel round or square tube, depending on the design. The designs can include hangar bars to hang dress suit bags. The deluxe range of luggage trolleys includes a platform truck with two handles.
