Banquet tables

Banquet tables are used by hotels and event venues as dining tables in function rooms. They can also be multipurpose; used for parties and dinners or as meetings and conference tables.

They can seat a large number of guests at a banquet, party or celebration, dinner dance or awards ceremony. Any time a large number of guests sit down for a meal, banquet tables will be used.

Banquet table shapes

Round banquet tables are often used for dinners, parties, celebrations and weddings. Round banquet tables can seat up to 14 guests and often have centrepiece flower arrangements, decorations or balloons in the centre of the table.

Rectangular banquet tables are often placed end-to-end to form a long table at wedding receptions. The top table where the bridge and groom sit at weddings is often made up of multiple trestle tables and the rest of the guests sit at round tables.

Half round tables increase capacity in a meeting or conference where all the guests are facing the speakers on the stage. The half round tables can then be pushed together for banqueting events where guests want to converse at the dinner table.

Folding banquet tables

Folding banquet tables can save space for a venue. Table legs can fold up or tables have flip tops. This saves space in storage rooms. Tables can be transported to storage on a table trolley.

Folding banquet tables can be lightweight – our Alu-Lite tables using aluminium for the frame so that they are easy to carry for hotel staff. When a hotel has a high turnover of events in multiple function rooms, a lightweight table reduces the number of staff members required for event setup and breakdown.
